RACING CHARGE

(TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH, ON) - On September 11 at approximately 9:15 p.m., a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on County Road 32 near County Road 34, Township of Puslinch. The officer observed a male driving a 2003 Acura 32T travelling at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at 134 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

19 year-old Lucas LITTLEJOHN of Cambridge has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and will appear in Guelph Provincial Court on November 1, 2017. His driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.

DRIVER CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED

(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) - On September 10, 2017 at approximately 1:00 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting general patrols and observed a motor vehicle and an ATV traveling Westbound through a field on the Eramosa-Erin Townline near Sideroad 10, Town of Erin.

A traffic stop was conducted on the motor vehicle and the ATV fled the scene. There were two passengers in the rear of the pick-up truck that fled on foot from police.

While speaking with the driver the officer observed signs of impairment by alcohol. He was arrested and brought to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.

29-year-old Shane Mitchel THOMPSON of Guelph-Eramosa has been charged with Over 80 and Drive Motor Vehicle while Impaired contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on October 20, 2017 to answer to the charge.

BREAK AND ENTER TO RESIDENCE

(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) - Wellington Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a Break and Enter which occurred on September 7, 2017 between 9:30 a.m. and 2:25 p.m. to a residence on Tenth Line, Town of Erin.

The homeowner returned home at approximately 2:25 p.m. and noticed that the rear patio door was open. It was evident that the kitchen, living room, three bedrooms, basement and detached garage had been ransacked by unknown suspect(s).

The following items were stolen: Cash, 55" Samsung TV, Computer, Ipad, Pearls, Ruby earrings, and Several watches.
