VEHICLE ENTRY WITH THEFT

(TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) - On April 28, 2017 members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a vehicle that had been entered overnight on North Water Street West in Mount Forest.

Suspect(s) entered a vehicle overnight on April 27th through to 28th and stole cash from a purse.

To help prevent future incidents, the OPP would like to remind everyone about the LOCK IT OR LOSE IT campaign. It is a crime prevention program that reminds the public to lock their vehicles and remove any valuables and keys from within. This helps reduce the motivation and likelihood of property crimes. If you do suspect that your vehicle has been entered please report it.

WOMAN CHARGED WITH ASSAULT AFTER DISPUTE

(TOWNSHIP OF MINTO, ON) - On April 23, 2017, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an assault that had just occurred on Derby Street in Palmerston. A 23-year-old woman was assaulted by another woman during an argument.

Upon investigation 18-year-old Marissa Catherine Danielle RADSTAKE of Palmerston was arrested and charged for Assault contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on June 9, 2017.

THEFT OF TRAILER

(TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) - On May 5, 2017 Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a theft report of a 24 ft. white trailer from McLellan J & Son Plumbing and Heating, located at 695 Queen Street West, Mount Forest. The theft took place between 12:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. May 5, 2017.

Surveillance camera's show a two tonne truck hooking up to the trailer at approximately 2 a.m. The suspect(s) cut the chain to gain access to the parking lot.

The stolen trailer is a 2007 American Motors enclosed unit, white in colour with an Ontario marker of A2927L.
