TIRES AND RIMS STOLEN OFF TRUCK

(TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) - On April 18, 2017 at approximately 1:40 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a break and enter to Arthur Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ltd. in the town of Arthur.

Sometime between 6 April, 2017 and 10 April 2017 unknown suspect(s) cut the fence on the west side of the truck lot. Suspect(s) then removed the tires and rims from a new 2017 Dodge Crew Cab Truck and left the truck on its wheel hubs. The tires and rims are valued at $5000.

The stolen tires are Firestone Transforce LT275/70R18.

DRIVER CHARGED WITH OVER 80 MGS

(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) - On April 22, 2017 at approximately 9:00 p.m. an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer conducted a traffic stop in Palmerston, Town of Minto.

While speaking with the male driver, the officer detected the odour of alcohol on his breath. The driver was arrested after failing the Roadside Screening Device test, and was transported to a local OPP Operation Centre for further testing.

47-year-old Heinrich WALL of Moorefield has been charged with Driving with Over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on May 5, 2017 to answer to the charge. His driver's licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days as per statute.

OPP INVESTIGATES SERIOUS COLLISION

(TOWSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) - Today at approximately 8:30 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with the Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Wellington North Fire Service responded to a two vehicle collision involving two transports on Highway 6 between Sideroad 7 and Sideroad 8 of the Township of Wellington North.

The male driver of one of the vehicles was taken to a local hospital by EMS then will be transported by air ambulance with life threatening injuries. The other driver was not injured.

Highway 6 between Sideroad 6 and Sideroad 8 is closed while the investigation continues. Wellington County Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) will be attending the scene. More information will be released when it becomes available.
