BREAK AND ENTER TO HOME

(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) -Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a break and enter that occurred on February 28, 2017 to a home on Side Road 25, Wellington North Township. It occurred sometime between 7:00 a.m. and 6 p.m. and a 37 inch Panasonic T.V. was stolen.

GMC SIERRA STOLEN FROM RURAL RESIDENCE

(TOWNSHIP OF MAPLETON, ON) - On March 6, 2017 at approximately 6:30 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a stolen motor vehicle from a rural residence on Wellington Road 12 in the Township of Mapleton.

The vehicle is described as a black 2012 GMC Sierra bearing Ontario marker AK95290. It was stolen sometime between March 5th at 9:00 p.m. and March 6th at 6 a.m. The keys were left in the vehicle.

MALE FLEES OUT WINDOW TO AVOID ARREST

(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) - On February 27, 2017 at approximately 7:49 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended an apartment complex on Main Street in Palmerston, Town of Minto in regards to an ongoing criminal investigation.

While there, officers observed a male party that was known to police and that was wanted on outstanding warrants. The male attempted to evade police by climbing out an apartment window, scaling a ledge and trying to gain entry into an adjacent apartment.

He removed a screen and access was gained. The male made an effort to flee out the back door, however, turned himself in to police when he realized the building was surrounded. He was arrested and searched and found to be in possession of break-in tools.

Further investigation revealed that he was also breaching conditions of a probation order and recognizance. 41-year-old Steve BOYCE of Palmerston has been charged with the following Criminal Code Offences:
* Possession of Break-in Instruments
* Break Enter a Dwelling With Intent to Commit Indictable Offence
* Mischief Under $5000
* Fail to Comply with Probation Order
* Fail to Comply with Recognizance

He was held in custody for a Bail Hearing.

METH SEIZED AT PARKING LOT

(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) - On February 28, 2017 at approximately 7:50 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to investigate a man sitting in 2011 Chevrolet that was in a parking lot in Harriston.

The man was identified and officers discovered that he was not following court conditions and placed on him under arrest. During a search of the man, an officer located suspected methamphetamine.

29-year-old Wade BRODIE of Penetanguishene has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Fail to Comply with a Recognizance contrary to the Criminal Code. He appeared in Guelph Bail Court on February 28, 2017.

TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO OVER 80 MGS CHARGE

(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) - On February 26, 2017 at approximately 3:30 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint involving a vehicle doing burn-outs on Wellington Road 109 near the East-West Luther Townline in Wellington North Township.

Officers located the 2010 Ford involved in the complaint and while speaking with the driver, police detected the odour of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. A Roadside Screening Device test was conducted which resulted in a fail. The male driver was placed under arrest and transported to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.

22-year-old Peter BOESE of Mapleton Township has been charged with Care and Control Over 80 Mgs contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on April 4, 2017 to answer to his charge.

His driver's licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days as per statute.
